Campaign Information The Challenge in launching The Sims 3 lay in harnessing excitement around the new title while appealing to a general audience who isn’t your typical hardcore gamer.
The Solution came in 3 parts:
User Generated Competition platform called “The Sims 3 Ultimate Aussie Fan” which mobilised a pre-existing fan base and enabled entrants to be creative and express their personality by creating their own fan page. Fans competed against each other in various categories such as most creative and most supporters.
A broad reaching campaign took over social networking and entertainment sites with a host of high impact site skins, video spots, banners and other Sims 3 goodies.
Finally, social media monitoring and engagement tools enabled us to connect with fans and send competition info and offers to buy the game in places seemingly out of reach.
